When you purchase fonts you are agreeing to the terms laid out in the respective license agreement. Please make sure you read license agreements thoroughly to understand what each includes.

Standard Licenses

These license options can be found within the buying options on each font’s page.

Desktop License

A desktop license allows font(s) to be installed on a computer in order to create personal or business documents as well as static images and logos for print and screen.

Desktop License tiers are measured by the amount of users who will install the font. By default, this license may be used by individuals or small companies consisting of 1-3 users, up to 2 computers each. Licenses are available for up to 100 users. Need more? Send us an e-mail.

This license does not include use for; large volume printing (over 250k physical items), mass end products (over 5k units), websites, e-publication distribution, app distribution or Broadcast. Any of these uses require a separate License.

Web License

A Web License (or self-hosted web license) allows font(s) to be utilized for live text on a website by uploading them to a web server and referencing via @font-face CSS.

Web License tiers are measured by the number of page views per month a website receives. By default, this license may be used for a single website with up to 10,000 monthly page views. License are available for up to 1 million monthly page views. Need more? Send us an e-mail.

This license does not include files suitable for installation on desktop, laptops, or other devices. You will also need a desktop license if you plan to use font(s) for printed documents, logos or static images.

App License

An App License allows font(s) to be embedded in apps, digital products, or software you intend to distribute or sell. Fonts must be contained entirely within the app, with no other apps or the operating system able to access them.

App Licenses are for a single title and tiered based on your expected total downloads across all platforms. By default, this license may be used for apps with up to 10,000 expected downloads. Licenses are available for up to 1 million expected downloads. Need more? Send us an e-mail.

This license does not include use of font(s) on desktop, laptops, or other devices. You will also need a desktop license if you plan to use font(s) for printed documents, logos or static images.

Personal Use License

A Personal Use License allows limited versions of select font(s) to be installed on a computer, free of charge, for personal, non-commercial use.

Personal use refers to any private, recreational or student work, or work you’re completing for a friend, such as a party invite or a personal website. Non-profit use is also possible with prior approval from Graffont.

This license strictly prohibits use for commercial purposes–design work for which you will be compensated or work used to promote a business, service or product.

Broadcast

A broadcast license allows font(s) to be used for TV, film, video and streaming. Pricing is based on region(s) and time period.

E-pub

An E-pub license allows font(s) to be embedded and published in electronic publications or other shared documents. Pricing is based on the number of titles to be published.

Unlimited

An unlimited license allows font(s) to be used across any/all mediums without restrictions on user amount, website domains, publication titles, broadcast regions, etc.
